Amanda Balmer I became treasurer of the PTA in September 2008. My role involves making sure that all the hard earned fundraising is accounted for. This includes balancing the books and registering the year end accounts with the charity commission. In addition I also ensure that we have adequate insurance cover for all the different PTA events. I live in Llanbedr with my husband Simon and daughter Katie who is in Year 2 at Ysgol Llanbedr. After Katie was born I was a full time mum until she started at nursery in Llanbedr. I then chose to train and qualify as an Independent Mortgage Adviser but soon discovered that this profession was not compatible with my home life. I made a difficult decision to leave and having worked as a volunteer for the playgroup in Ruthin I am now employed as a play worker. I am currently studying for my NVQ in Early Years Childcare as well as studying Welsh at entry level and working towards my day skipper sailing qualification. In my free time I like to spend time with my family enjoying the wonderful Welsh countryside. |
