Pauline Dobb, County Councillor representing Llanbedr/Llangynhafal
since 1999. Cabinet member since 2002 holding the portfolio for
Heath, Social Care and Housing. I thoroughly enjoy my Council work as
each day gives me plenty of opportunities to learn something new, and
sometimes, bring about change.
I live in Gellifor with little dog Jack. He can be rather a noisy dog
and I often wonder if he was a councillor in another life!! Only
joking.
I spent most of my working life in British Columbia, Canada - it is a
wonderful part of the world with huge lakes and mountains and actually
the weather isn't nearly as cold as you would expect. I have returned
to the UK to be closer to my parents, and help them as they get older.
I find being a Governor a challenging experience, it is important that
we are well versed in all the aspects of schooling for our young
people and therefore it has been important for me to take the
specialized governor training.
Ysgol Llanbedr is a great school with dedicated staff - year after
year our children achieve excellent results and are congratulated on
their good manners and team spirit.
I am very proud to be playing just a small part in the life of Ysgol
Llanbedr.
