I am currently the Chair of Governors at Ysgol Llanbedr and I have been a Governor since 2001. I am married to Clwyd who works for WAG and we have one son called Richard (15 years old) who attended Ysgol Llanbedr. I am the owner & Managing Director of Businesswork Solutions Ltd which is an accountancy practice and a Role Model for Dynamo, a scheme to promote Entrepreneurship in Wales. My Governing Body roles include being the Denbighshire Chair of the Governors Forum as well as being on the Board of Governors at Ysgol Brynhyfryd, Ruthin. My other committments include being recently appointed Chair of the 14-19 Employers Forum; being on the Board of Directors for Careers Wales N E; and I sit on the Conwy & Denbighshire 14-19 Skills Forum. During the year I also work on particular projects locally and regionally and these include helping to organise the OCN (Open College Network) Entrepreneurship weeks; various Industry Days in Denbighshire, Flintshire & Wrexham schools; the Make your Mark Challenge Day; and I am a judge at Scottish Power Learning Challenge Days. I am also called upon to teach Interview Techniques at Ysgol Brynhyfryd & Denbigh College.
